Fitment:

This is a direct fit high-output alternator for the 2003 2004 2005 2006 Nissan 350Z 3.5L.This alternator is a custom built alternator made with custom fabricated brackets that are laser cut to precision. With our teams dedicated innovation we have been able to design these custom brackets for direct fitment.

Plug:

This high-output alternator comes with a factory style plug so that your OEM plug will plug directly into the alternator. Therefore, with an OEM style regulator, it will have a factory voltage set point.

Pulley:

This alternator also comes with a smaller pulley, which causes it to spin faster than a larger pulley. This can help the alternator produce its maximum output. With a smaller pulley, it is required to install a 1/2" - 1" shorter belt.

Big 3 Wiring:

When Upgrading to a High-Output Alternator, it is required to upgrade your wiring with the Big 3 Wiring Upgrade Kit. It is recommended to use 1/0 100% copper wires for the upgrade.

It depends on the specific vehicle application, but JS units typically range from 200 to 370+ amps, significantly higher than the 90–130 amp output of most factory alternators. Is the warranty valid when purchased from Redline360?

Does a high output alternator affect fuel economy?
Only marginally, and only when under heavy electrical load. Alternators only draw power from the engine proportional to the electrical demand placed on them at idle or light load, a high output unit draws no more than a stock one. The fuel economy impact of a high output alternator is negligible in normal driving conditions.

Can I run a high output alternator with my stock battery?
In most cases yes, but if your electrical demand is high enough to warrant a JS alternator, pairing it with an upgraded AGM or lithium battery will give you the best results. A high output alternator charges faster and more efficiently, but a weak or aging battery becomes the bottleneck. If your battery is more than 3–4 years old, it's worth replacing it at the same time.
