Bull Boost Exhaust for Honda CRX EF (88-91) 304 Stainless 2.5" Catback

Give your CRX a deeper exhaust sound and better flow with this 2.5-inch stainless steel catback from Bull Boost Performance. It uses mandrel-bent piping with an oversized resonator and packed muffler, so you get a cleaner tone without making the car sound harsh and raspy every time you get on it.

The entire system is made from 304 stainless steel and bolts to the factory mounting locations on the 1988-1991 CRX. The 2.5-inch piping works well for a modified D-Series or B-Series setup and also gives you room for a future engine swap or turbo build.

Fitment Note: Made specifically for the 1988-1991 Honda CRX chassis. Bull Boost states that it is not compatible with other Civic chassis or model years.

Engine Swap Note: Bull Boost lists the system as compatible with most B-Series, D-Series and K-Series swaps. The exhaust still follows the factory CRX routing, but a swapped engine, aftermarket header or relocated catalytic converter may change the front connection point and require some exhaust work.

How Does It Sound?

This exhaust gives the CRX a deeper and louder sound than the factory system without going with a straight pipe. The resonator helps clean up the higher-pitched rasp that older Honda engines can make, while the packed muffler helps keep the car easier to live with on the street.

The final sound will depend on the engine, header and catalytic converter. A stock D15 will sound different from a built D16, B-Series swap or turbo setup.

Installation Notes

The system is designed to bolt to the factory CRX mounting points and includes the required gaskets and hardware. Check the factory rubber exhaust hangers while the original exhaust is removed. After more than 30 years, there is a good chance at least one of them is cracked, stretched or dried out.

Loosely assemble the complete exhaust before tightening the flanges. This gives you room to line up the muffler and tip, then check clearance around the rear suspension, fuel tank and chassis.

Emissions and Sound Notice

Check your local exhaust and sound regulations before ordering. Exhaust noise can change quite a bit when the catback is combined with an aftermarket header, test pipe, high-flow catalytic converter or engine swap.
